There are two different levels of certification:

• Level 1: Certified Document Controller
• • Theory examination
  • and Practical examination

• Level 2: Certified Lead Document Controller (level 1 is a prerequisite to level 2)
• • Pre-requisite: pass mark at Level 1 
  • and Practical examination
  • and Technical authority examination

How to become a Certified Professional?

To become a Certified Document Controller you must:

1. Attend the Course: Certified Document Controller and
2. Obtain a pass mark for the Level 1 examination

To become a Certified Lead Document Controller you must:  

1. Attend the Course: Certified Document Controller and
2. Obtain a pass mark for the Level 1 examination and
3. Attend the Course: Certified Lead Document Controller and
4. Obtain a pass mark for the Level 2 examination

Examination Fee

The examination fee is separate from the course fee (for 2024 sessions onwards). 

Each individual exam sitting costs:

CERTIFICATE

• An Examination Pass Certificate is awarded to participants who obtain a pass mark at the examination
• The certification is valid for 5 years
• After 5 years, participants must re-certify

Examination Format

The Certification Examination is done via our cutting-edge online examination environment, which integrates a high level of security in order to guarantee integrity and validity.

• When you attend the course before your examination, we will provide you with a comprehensive tutorial on how the exam platform works
• You will need specific equipment for your examination, such as a computer with a high-speed internet connection, a webcam (internal or external), and a smartphone with a camera. A comprehensive list of requirements will be provided to each exam participant.
